In this episode…

Why does your face seem to change so much after 40, and why isn't Botox or filler alone always enough to bring back a refreshed, youthful appearance? As we age, facial volume, skin texture, and proportions change in ways that can make us look different from how we feel inside. While many people worry that aesthetic treatments will leave them looking unnatural or overdone, the right approach may be more subtle than they expect. What actually helps restore a youthful appearance without changing the features that make you unique?

Dr. Julie Gunther explains why facial rejuvenation requires more than simply filling wrinkles or adding volume. She explores how combining Botox, dermal fillers, biostimulators, lasers, and radiofrequency microneedling can address different aspects of facial aging, particularly for patients experiencing volume loss after significant weight loss. She also shares why a single syringe of filler, roughly the volume of a raspberry, can make a meaningful difference when placed strategically. Drawing from her own breast cancer experience, she reveals how her understanding of beauty evolved from physical appearance to something deeply connected to identity, confidence, and personal choice.
