In this episode…

Could your everyday habits be damaging your smile without you even realizing it? Many people focus on whitening their teeth or getting cosmetic treatments, but overlook the daily behaviors that affect their oral health and appearance. From improper flossing to nighttime teeth grinding, small habits can have lasting effects. Are you doing enough to protect your smile?

Dr. Mina Kim explains how teeth grinding can wear down your teeth, affect your jaw muscles, and contribute to changes in facial appearance over time. She also breaks down the differences between veneers and crowns, including why certain treatments require reshaping natural teeth. Drawing from her experience treating patients in Manhattan, she shares how 3D dental scanning helps patients see dental concerns for themselves and why consistent preventive care matters more than occasional cosmetic improvements.

In this episode of Beauty Talk, host Daniel Gouw interviews Dr. Mina Kim, a general and cosmetic dentist at Bryant Park Dental Associates in Midtown Manhattan, New York. A graduate of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, she was recognized with the American Dental Association's 2020 10 Under 10 Award. Dr. Kim discusses common dental misconceptions, teeth grinding, veneers, crowns, preventive care, and the daily habits that contribute to a healthy, natural looking smile.
